2.1 Description of the short-circuit-protected rotary switch system
This rotary indexing table system operates in an automatic cycle sequence.
The base unit is a robust cast construction housing the main drive motor and the central cam drive. Standard OKUMAT station units, preferably, are mounted to its exterior surfaces. Their low-maintenance guides ensure high repeatability during continuous operation.
The assembly system's cycle rate is continuously adjustable via a frequency converter. In the event of an impermissible load increase (e.g., due to a blockage), the frequency converter immediately shuts off the main drive motor. This prevents overloading of the assembly system.
