EXTRUSION
Among other innovations, the co-rotating twin-screw extruder Reitruder RZE 58 was the highlight of Reifenhäuser’s presentation at the NPE trade fair. The screw geometry has been adapted to meet changing requirements by incorporating deeper channel depths and a redesigned feed section. These modifications improve feeding when processing PET flakes or regrind and increase the capacity for adding fillers. This results in significant advantages when processing lower-quality raw materials. Furthermore, increased degassing efficiency enables processing of material with moisture levels up to 0.5%. As a result, pre-drying requirements are minimized.
