The PA-S45 W plasma cutting system is suitable for manual and mechanized cutting in the material thickness range of 3 to 45 mm. Both machine and hand torches can be quickly converted for plasma grooving. This requires changing the nozzles and attaching the ceramic cap (if necessary, with a protector). By using different plasma gases and gas mixtures, all electrically conductive materials such as construction steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass can be processed. Plasma grooving is ideally suited for removing welding defects, cracks, porosity, and inclusions, as well as for preparing for counter-welding.
