► DESCRIPTION
The machine is in exceptionally good condition and was used exclusively for the highly precise final machining of large bearings for offshore wind turbines. The machining operations included grinding the inner and outer diameters as well as the highly precise raceways of the roller bearings.
The machining results achieved demonstrate the machine's exceptional performance. Inner and outer diameters with a workpiece diameter of up to 4,000 mm were ground within a tolerance of ±20 µm. A profile accuracy of 2–3 µm was achieved for the raceways.
