The Bumotec s100multi is a high-dynamic machining center designed for ultra-precise small-part production in automated manufacturing environments. This machine combines the features of a CNC machining center with a fully integrated manufacturing cell and a compact transfer center for highly productive series manufacturing. The concept is based on four workstations arranged in a carousel configuration, enabling extremely short cycle times thanks to two simultaneously operating milling spindles. The system uses linear motors on all axes and, according to the manufacturer, achieves minimal chip-to-chip times of 500 ms. It is equipped with high-speed spindles offering up to 60,000 rpm for high-precision micromachining of brass, aluminium, and stainless steel. The integrated automation cell with a Stäubli industrial robot manages fully automatic workpiece handling within the production line.
