For sale: One complete MTU 20V4000 P63 Emergency Diesel Generator Set, manufactured in 2012, with only approximately 135 operating hours and in excellent, near-new visual condition.

The unit consists of an MTU 20-cylinder V-type diesel engine coupled to an LDW (Lloyd Dynamowerke) synchronous generator, mounted on a common base frame.

Engine and operating history

The MTU 20V4000 P63 is a 95.5-litre, 20-cylinder diesel engine with a continuous engine power rating of 2,600 kW at 1,500 rpm, equipped with two turbochargers and an intercooler.

Originally installed as an emergency power supply, the generator set has accumulated only approximately 135 operating hours and remains in exceptionally good visual condition.

Until 2017, the unit was maintained according to the power plant's scheduled maintenance programme. Following the shutdown of the relevant section of the power plant, the unit continued to be started periodically but was no longer maintained according to the previous maintenance schedule.

The unit was subsequently preserved for storage before removal from the site.
