KGM - Ideen mit Profil

Im Jahre 1973 wurde in Oettingen/Bayern die KGM Unternehmensgruppe von Herrn Karl G. Miller gegründet, dessen Initialen auch Pate für den Firmennamen standen. Was zuerst als reines Handelsunternehmen begann, entwickelte sich schnell zu einem mittelständischen Produktionsbetrieb. Ständige Sortimentserweiterungen und Ergänzungen, die mit der Anschaffung neuester Maschinen einhergingen, sorgten für eine kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung des Unternehmens.

Im Jahr 1992 wurde in Gehren/Thüringen ein Ummantelungswerk übernommen, die heutige KGM Furnierprofile GmbH. An diesem Standort fertigt KGM ausschließlich furnier- und folienummantelte Produkte auf Holzwerkstoffbasis, vor allem für unsere Kunden in der europäischen Türenindustrie.

In Oettingen werden heute vor allem Massivholzprodukte und Leisten produziert, für unsere Kunden im Fachhandel, sowie in der Holz- und Möbel- und Fussbodenindustrie.

Seit 2005 ist Thomas Miller in zweiter Generation als Geschäftsführer bei KGM tätig.

Die Mitarbeiterzahl aller Unternehmensbereiche beträgt derzeit ca. 175. Mit der Errichtung eines dritten Produktionsstandortes in Geraberg/Thüringen im Jahr 2013 ist ein weiteres deutliches Wachstum entstanden.
